This content will guide you to know how to manage Bookly Mobile Pro mobile apps and its plugin.

After purchase

After you purchase Bookly Mobile Pro you need to follow the next steps:

  • Install Bookly Mobile Pro API plugin provided on purchase
  • Set the Bookly Mobile Pro license ( provided by Code Canyon )
  • Build the Android/iOS App based on the source code provided.

    Install Bookly Mobile Pro API plugin

    After installing the Bookly Mobile Pro API plugin make sure you have installed & activated the following plugins:

    Now you can install the Bookly Mobile Pro.

    Set the Bookly Mobile Pro license

    Once all plugins are installed in your WordPress instance you can start configuring Bookly Mobile Pro license.

    Go to the WordPress Admin Dashboard and go to the menu Bookly Mobile Pro > Activation and add the license key in the Bookly Mobile Pro licence field and save changes. After save you should see a message with info about your license key.

    Build the Android/iOS App based on the source code provided.

    The steps to build the app you can found it inside the Bookly Mobile Pro source code, in the folder “documentation”.

    Bookly Mobile Pro

    Login and Register

    Login

    The main view that you will see when you open the application is the Login section.

    All users registered in your WordPress site can login into the Bookly Mobile App with the same user and password used in the WordPress site.

    Reset Password

    If an user doesn’t remember his password, exists a link named “Forgot My Password” to reset the user password.

    The process to reset the password is similar to the WordPress site. A email will be send to the user with a link to reset the password. Once the password was changed the user can login into the app with the new password.

    Register

    New users are allowed to be registered from the register section:

    Extra Fields in the register section

    The default fields in the Sign up section are:

    • Username
    • Email
    • Password and confirm password

    However you can add more extra fields to this section from the menu Bookly / Settings / Appearance and clicking in the tab Details:

    The extras fields available in this section are:

    • Show birthday field
    • Show address fields

    If you choose one of this options, the related fields for each option must be displayed in the Sign Up section.

    Now, if you want to set this fields as required fields you can go to: Bookly / Customer and enabled the options Make birthday mandatory or Make address mandatory

    The address extra fields are a group of fields:

    You can select the order and which of the fields should be displayed updating the values of the section Customer’s address fields in the menu Bookly / Customer

     

    Terms and conditions:

    The terms and conditions is another extra fields that can be displayed in the Sign Up section.

    To activate this checkbox go to Your WordPress dashboard and select the menu option Settings / Privacy and now select a Page where your Terms and Conditions are shown.

    When a Privacy Policy Page is successful configured the Terms and Conditions field will be displayed and required in the Sign Up process.

    Home Page

    The Home Page is the main view that the user can see after the successful log into the app.

    This section is divided in three sections:

    • Home
    • Staff
    • Services

    The Home section display general information about the WordPress site and the Bookly business time. You can update this information in the WordPress backend. For more information about the Bookly business time you can get it from the Booky Official Documentation.

     

    The Staff and Services section display the list of the current available staff and services. You can get more information about how to configure Staff, Services and all their related data in the Bookly Official Documentation: Staff and Services

    My Profile

    My Profile is the section where the user can update information about his profile.

    In this section will be displayed the extra fields related to the User Birthday and Address.

    If the user Birthday or Address fields are required fields the user is not allowed to create a new appointment until submit all his user profile. Every time the user wants to create an appointment the app will redirect the user to this section if the profile is not completed

    In the Register section was explained how to display and make required the birthday and address extra fields.

    The CLOSE ACCOUNT button is the way to remove all information of this user in the App and the WordPress site. CLOSE ACCOUNT will remove the user from the site completely.

    Note: An admin user can’t be removed from this button.

    Services

    In this section will be displayed the public services configured in the WordPress site.

    You can read more about how t configure the Services in the Official Documentation.

    This section can display the Service Extras and the Locations functionality but these features are allowed only for Bookly Mobile Pro. You can read about the Service Extras and Location features in the next sections in this page.

    The background image displayed in the service Section is provided for the customer in the Claim App form (Image for the Service Header Section).

    The user can add services to his favourites list, this action allows the user to find services esailly from the menu option Favourites,

    Staff

    In this section will be displayed the public staffs configured in the WordPress site.

    You can read more about how t configure the Staff in the Official Documentation.

    This section can display the Locations functionality but this feature is allowed only for Bookly Mobile Pro. You can read about the Location feature in the next sections in this page.

    The background image displayed in the service Section is provided for the customer in the Claim App form (Image for the Staff Header Section).

    The user can add staffs to his favourites list, this action allows the user to find staffs esailly from the menu option Favourites,

    Booking

    The user can create a new appointment from any place of the app trough the icon :

    On this sections the user will choose the Service, Staff and a hour from the list of Availability of the staff.

    The process to create a new appointment could display extras sections like:

    • Locations
    • Services extras
    • Custom fields

    All these sections are available only for the Bookly Mobile Pro (Silver plan)

    Push Notifications

    Every time Bookly sends emails notification like change of status in one appointment, or an appointment reminder, the Bookly Mobile API will send a push notification to the user and it will be received in the user device by the Bookly Mobile App.

    The Bookly reminder is created automatically when the Bookly Mobile API Plugin is activated, and it will be deleted when the plugins is deactivated and removed.

    You can find the Bookly reminder in the menu: Bookly / Email notifications and search in the list the the value: “Bookly reminder (Generated by Bookly Mobile API plugin)”

    You can update the content of the push notification clicking in the button edit and update the content of the message.

    If you removed all the content of the message, make sure that the final message has the next tag:

    Note: This is required by Bookly Mobile API to send the push notification.

    Bookly Mobile Pro

    All the next feature are Bookly addons for Bookly Pro and Bookly Mobile Pro bring support for them.

    The service Bookly Mobile PRO doesn’t includes license code for Bookly Pro or any of its addons.

    If you want to use any of the next feature, you need a valid Bookly Pro license and its plugins.

    Service Extras (Silver Plan)

    The Service Extras (Add-on) allows you to offer extra services, goods, or options to tweak the service (e.g. with more special and/or more expensive tools).

    You can change the order in which the services page appears in the option Extras Step found in the menu: Bookly / Settings / Service Extras

    • After service step: The service extras will be displayed after the user choose the service and the staff.
    • After time step: The service extras will be displayed after the staff availability section

    Locations (Silver Plan)

    Manage multiple locations where you provide your services: associate employees with locations, let clients choose locations for their visits, manage appointments for locations separately.

    This addon displays a new form widget to filter the Services and Staff by a location provided.

    Custom Fields (Silver Plan)

    This addon displays all the Custom Fields (General or by the service selected) before the user set up his appointment.

    Bookly Custom Fields (Add-on) allows you to create as many items as you need. Choose from the different types of questions, make them required or optional, and add them to the Details step of the booking process.
